Kendal Defibrillator Appeal

Kendal Town Council supports an initiative to have more defibrillators available‭ ‬in the town.‭ ‬These are used to counter the onset of‭ ‬heart attacks.‭ ‬Fast access to a defibrillator can save a life.

The‭ ‬Council recently agreed to purchase a defibrillator but more are needed.‭ ‬The Rotary Club of Kendal is working with the Council to‭ ‬launch an appeal‭ ‬to make more machines available.‭

Each defibrillator‭ ‬costs in excess of‭ ‬£1,000‭ ‬and‭ ‬the aim is to‭ ‬install a network of defibrillators around Kendal.‭ ‬The precise locations will be discussed with local doctors and‭ ‬the‭ ‬ambulance service.

Please will you help us‭?
- Consider making a seasonal charity donation to this project.
- Older residents might donate all or part of their Winter Fuel Allowance‭ .‭

If you pay income tax please consider ticking the Gift Aid box.‭ ‬

We should of course be‭ ‬delighted to receive donations from commercial organisations.

Rotary is an organisation of men and women dedicated to service locally and in wider communities. 100% of any money given to this project will be used towards the purchase of defibrillators. Jim Morrison, the President of The Rotary Club of Kendal asks for your support "It would be excellent if, in the community of Kendal, we could ensure good coverage of this life saving equipment. Thank you for your help."
