10 Jāṅgala Wi-Fi Systems in the Field in 2019

In a humanitarian emergency — such as the ongoing refugee crisis —  access to the internet is invaluable for the people affected and the people assisting. The Worldwide Tribe is crowdfunding donations to help Jāṅgala raise £30,000 to deploy 10 new Wi-Fi systems in the field in 2019 and connect over 25,000 more people.

Jāṅgala is a UK charitable start-up developing and deploying easy to use, low cost Wi-Fi systems to meet emergency internet needs. With funding and support from the Worldwide Tribe, the Jāṅgala team built the first and only Wi-Fi network in the Calais Jungle and have deployed 20 systems which have connected at least 25,000 refugees worldwide. These systems have helped grassroots organisations deliver vital Wi-Fi to the refugees with whom they’re working.Jāṅgala's long-term mission is to create systems that can reduce dramatically the cost and time needed to deliver emergency internet access for any humanitarian need.
