In the Footsteps of 47 Royal Marine Commando 2019

On 6th June, 47 Royal Marine Commando Association and friends will again be retracing the route of 47 Commando’s epic 13 mile attack behind enemy lines to capture the small French port of Port-en-Bessin and to link up with US forces on D-Day, 1944. Their yomp is in support of the 47 Charity.

47 Charity aims to raise £10,000 to help veterans attend the annual WWII commemorations in France and Holland - this year including the educational battlefield tour arranged by the Association as part of "Walcheren 75" - and to keep safe the memorials to their fallen comrades. If you would like to take part please contact Ken Cowdery. We walk at a gentle pace with plenty of breaks. You don’t need to be a Commando to make it to the finish line!
