The Big Cambridge Calais Sleep Out 2019

A Tale Of Two Cities – The Best Of Times To Help The Worst Of Times

We want to raise money and awareness for marginalised and forgotten people sleeping rough in winter, whoever and wherever they are.

The Big Sleep Out is a collaborative, sponsored event organised by the charities CamCRAG and Whitworth Trust, which will be held on Saturday January 26th 2019.
CamCRAG is a registered charity (1170180) who send regular convoys of volunteers and aid from the Cambridge region to help refugees in Europe. They collect donations, hold fundraising events, fund projects overseas and raise awareness of the refugee crisis.
The Whitworth Trust is a small registered charity (1091682), formed to provide support for vulnerable, homeless women in Cambridge. The Trust raises money to support the residents of Whitworth House hostel, but also to support vulnerable and homeless women in Cambridge more generally, including women of any age or stage of life, with children or without.

The main Sleep Out will take place in the beautiful St Giles’ Church in the centre of Cambridge, with other events happening in and around the city.

There are lots of events happening as part of the Big Cambridge Calais Sleep Out 2019, including:
The Sleep Out at St Giles' Church
Mini Sleep Outs (perhaps you could host one in your own back garden?)
Wild Camping (a more extreme option taking place at Wicken Fen Back to Basics Campsite, which is a two mile walk from civilisation!)
