20th Anniversary Challenge

Cumbria Community Foundation marks its 20th anniversary in 2019. Thanks to our fundholders and supporters, we have invested more than £42 million into the lives of some of the county's most disadvantaged people.

We are running a year-long campaign to raise awareness of the community groups and individuals who have made a real difference over the past two decades.

As part of this campaign, we are encouraging people and businesses to get involved in our anniversary celebrations by either hosting an event or taking part in a challenge to help raise money for our Cumbria Fund.

Our target for the 20th Anniversary Challenge is to raise £250,000. All the money raised will go into the Cumbria Fund supporting projects right across the county that provide much needed services at grassroots level.

In memory of my uncle Arthur Sanderson. Also in memory of my parents Robert Boyd and Joan Boyd (nee Creed) who grew up in Cumbria enjoying its countryside, came to Australia for a job, and made Australia home. Cumbria might otherwise be my home.
