Preparing for life #AfterEbola

Ebola is a vicious haemorrgagic fever which is responsible for unprecedented numbers of deaths in Sierra Leone.

Now that foreign aid is beginning to flow in to the country, we hope that the effort will be efficient and effective in isolating and treating cases of Ebola.

We are deeply concerned, however, about what comes next in Sierra Leone. With thousands of adults dead from Ebola, there will be a huge amount of care needed for those left behind.

We are beginning to prepare ourselves for one of our greatest challenges: to make sure that those who have already suffered most heavily from the virus do not forgotten in the aftermath. Find out exactly what we are building for the future from www.educaid.org.uk/news and donate here to support us.

With our network of 9 schools nationwide, we are in the perfect position to prepare for life #AfterEbola

Our program centres education at it’s core. We’re preparing for the medium and long-term: from creating distance learning tools so that our current students do not lose an entire year to Ebola, to preparing for an influx of students who are left behind after Ebola – we will, as always, be there to help them.

We have immediate costs that we must cover to get started, so we ask you to contribute as quickly as you can. We also ask that you give generously to help us prepare for the future.
