Villa Rockets Powerchair Football Club

Charity description

Villa Rockets Powerchair Football Club logo
Although Villa Rockets are partnered with Aston Villa's Foundation, we are self-financing organisation.
Our annual running costs are around £7,000 per annum. Player memberships and training fees generate about half of these costs and the rest has to be raises through various fundraising activities and donations.
Funds are required to cover the costs of hiring a hall, buying and maintenance of equipment, buying kit and transportation to our league venues.

Any contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated and put to good use.

Villa Rockets PFC is a self-funding powerchair football club. We enable disabled youngsters the opportunity to play football in electric wheelchairs.
We currently have 3 teams that play in National & Regional Leagues. Our players, both male & female, age from 10 upwards.
The club is structured in such a way that we encourage kids to start playing at around 10-11 when they start to learn the game, learn how to control the powerchair and develop their playing skills.
The sport not only develops our disabled players on a technical level but also on a social level. Players learn to be part of a team (and all the associated banter that that brings). They become more outgoing, confident in themselves and it brings them belief in their own abilities

Charity No: CASC No 11400
