Vicarage Park Community Centre

Charity description

Vicarage Park Community Centre logo
In August 2016 we launched a public appeal with the aim of raising £300,000 to restore and develop the former St. Chad’s Church Hall into a community hub for the benefit of everyone who lives and works in Poulton-le-Fylde. The building had lacked regular maintenance for many years and was in a very dilapidated state of repair. In order to reopen the hall we have undertaken extensive renovations to make the hall safe for the public to use.

Following two years of sustained fundraising by VPCC volunteers and with the help of local benefactors, the Charity has been able to raise almost £150,000 to undertake Phase 1 of its extensive repair and restoration programme.
With the tremendous support, dedication and perseverance of local volunteers it was with the greatest pleasure that we reopened the Hall on 9/11/2018 almost exactly 93 years since it’s original opening on 11/11/1925.
We have been truly delighted with the uptake of regular weekly and private bookings. Although the Hall is once again serving the community we wish to ensure an affordable community hire rate and we also need to raise funds to achieve our phase 2 development goals. On top of this we have finishing touches and much needed items such as kitchen essentials, wifi, security cameras, stage steps, car-park re-surfacing etc, etc
Donations can be made here using your debit or credit card, and if you are a taxpayer, your gift will be topped up by GiftAid.
Please help us maintain/develop and improve your Community Hall and donate to our cause.
