ULCP is a UK registered charity that supports a rural community in SW Uganda. We help to provide low cost schooling through our SPONSORSHIP SCHEME plus better access to health education and medical care especially for the children of Ruhanga village through our unique sponsorship scheme. We are now offering vocational training for the families and young people of Ruhanga, We work in partnership with a Ugandan registered NGO called 'Stand on Your Own' and the aim of our fundraising is to benefit the community as a whole rather than individual children or families. ALL OF YOUR DONATION IS SENT OUT TO UGANDA. NO ADMIN OR OTHER EXPENSES ARE DEDUCTED AS WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS

You can HELP TO SUPPORT one of our children by using the DONATE button on this page. Its just
£5 per month or £60 for a full year. Money raised through our charity has facilitated the building of a village school in Ruhanga for over 500 children who pay just a very small fee each term, installed a gravity-fed clean water system, & built a health centre which offers low-cost medical care & promotes better health outcomes. We are expanding our vocational training centre to give young people in this rural area an opportunity to gain a skill to support themselves & their future families. 85% aged 15 - 30 in the district have no hope of paid jobs. The local trustees of ‘Stand on Your Own’ oversee the way the funds are spent and the everyday running of the projects. Our current focus is building a multi-purpose school hall, plus complete a partially built Training Restaurant.
