The Tram Stop Shelter Charity Southend
The Tram Stop Shelter Charity aims to re build the once derelict shelter on Thorpe Esplanade, Southend on Sea, SS1 3BA to provide public community facilities, comprising toilets and changing rooms for disabled people and a shelter for the benefit of the residents and visitors to Southend on Sea.
Please donate to support our cause.
In 2010 members of the Burgess Estates Residents Association were first to support the project of renovating the derelict shelter. However, surveys proved this not to be a viable option. The Tram Stop Shelter Charity was approved by the Charities Commission in 2014 and our objective is now to re build the Tram Stop Shelter for the benefit of the public, being of architectural, constructional or historical merit. We still need to raise over £200,000 for the rebuild.
