The Staff College: Leadership in Healthcare

Charity description

The Staff College: Leadership in Healthcare logo
The Staff College: Leadership in Healthcare is an independent charity with a faculty of health, military and business leaders. Our vision is to improve the quality of care for patients by working with individuals and teams nationally to strengthen and develop the skills of leaders across the healthcare community.

We aim to attract charitable funding in order to provide leadership development programmes to individuals working within the health and care community, in order to ensure our programmes are accessible to all.

Established in 2010 by Professor Aidan Halligan, it followed his visit to the military acute medical facility in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. There he witnessed the extraordinary teamwork, cooperation and leadership of the
combined NHS and Military Teams. His vision was to share this experience with the NHS more widely for the benefit of all, through Staff College programmes.

In Sept 2016, following 6 years of hosting by UCLH, we set the Staff College up as an independent charity, with an ambition to deliver leadership development programmes locally, on a national footprint.
