The Prostate Project

Charity description

The Prostate Project logo
The Prostate Project is volunteer led charity, with administration costs below 4%, so at least 96 pence of every pound you raise will go directly to helping men beat prostate cancer.

During the past 20 years we have raised over £8 million helping men have a better chance of beating prostate cancer.
Our research initiative, launched in 2006 at the University of Surrey, has grown to become the largest charity-funded prostate cancer research group in the UK. We raise awareness and vital funds for cutting-edge research into the early detection and treatment of prostate cancer. Men whose prostate cancer is discovered early have an 90% chance of a complete cure.
We have also helped the South West Surrey Region achieve ‘Centre of Excellence’ status in the treatment of prostate cancer. We support the Royal Surrey County Hospital, St Luke’s Cancer Centre and Frimley Park Hospital in their efforts to detect and treat prostate cancer. We have funded equipment and specialist nursing staff and run an active patient support group. We have also joint funded a world-class NHS Urology Centre at the Royal Surrey, that will change forever how our Urology patients are treated.

Please donate to support our cause.
