National Youth Ballet is a Registered Charity and we rely on donations and grant funding to support us in giving young people transformational opportunities to take part in and be inspired by ballet and performance. Help us to place the future of ballet in the hands of our future generations.

By donating you could contribute to:
  • A bursary to enable a young dancer to join the company who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity
  • Commissioning a world class choreographer to work with our young company
  • The development of young choreographic talent through our Beyond Ballet programme

At the heart of our annual season is a two week residential programme, where our Performance Company of over one hundred young dancers come together with a team of professional dancers, choreographers, teachers, musicians, designers, eminent composers costumiers and technicians.  As part of our strategic focus to develop talent and potential our aim is for them to experience the journey from studio to stage and emulate the experience of being in a professional dance company.

In tandem with the Performance Company we deliver Beyond Ballet, an initiative that supports emerging artists in the early stages of their professional careers.  Aimed at graduates and early career professionals aged 18-35, Beyond Ballet offers aspiring Rehearsal Directors, Choreographers, Costume Designers, Lighting Designers and Musicians the chance to work in a company environment alongside established professionals.  Each Beyond Ballet artist receives mentoring, shadowing opportunities and a paid role as part of the artistic team.

We are also committed to diversity and inclusion, and deliver a number of school projects to reach those who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity.
