Charity description

The Friends of Richmond Park logo
The Friends of Richmond Park is a charity dedicated to "the conservation and protection of Richmond Park and its peace and natural beauty for the benefit of the public and future generations" and to "advance public education about the Park".

The Friends funds conservation projects and does practical conservation work, operates the Park Visitor Centre, provides education activities for young people, organises walks and talks, campaigns on public issues and has over 200 volunteers working in the Park. We were founded in 1961 and now have 2500 members. Our patrons are Sir David Attenborough, Baroness (Susan) Kramer and Dame Jacqueline Wilson. We produced the 20 minute film "Richmond Park - National Nature Reserve" presented by David Attenborough, which won first prize for charity environmental films in July 2017.
