The Eleanor Rose Foundation

Charity description

The Eleanor Rose Foundation logo
We aim to offset the financial and psychological impact of a cancer diagnosis by offering free products and services to adults living with cancer.

The goal of the Ellie's Friends is to give adults with cancer the opportunity to enjoy life, not just survive it!
We offer free and discounted products and services to UK adults living with cancer. These range from free theatre trips to massages and weekends away. We do this through our online platform ‘Ellie’s Friends’ where users can register as living with cancer and service providers register to offer their service or product. We also provide information of other cancer charities offering valuable services via a postcode finder.
Our objectives are based on the experiences, and in memory of Ellie Jeffery, a journalist who died of breast cancer aged 29. Through writing her immensely popular blog ‘Written Off’ Ellie found that there was a great deal of goodwill in communities to support people with cancer. Her fiancée Tom founded The Eleanor Rose Foundation to harness some that, and work towards her aim of ‘Making the Big C Smaller’
