The Community Heartbeat Trust
1)Providing cost effective defibrillators to local community groups.
2)Furthering education & training in regards to "First person on scene", First Aid, basic & advanced life support.
3)Support for the establishment of community responder schemes.
The target set by the government for Ambulance trusts all over the UK is to reach 75% of life threatening calls within 8 minutes.
Statistics show that early de-fibrillation improves the chances of Cardiac Arrest victims survival by up to 50%.
In rural areas this can be difficult and as a charity we are therefore dedicated to the installation, maintenance and training of local communities in the use and execution of defibrillators.
We make these available to communities nationwide, and provide training & awareness sessions.
The more we raise the more schemes we can support and the more people we can give that extra 8 minutes to save their life.
