The Coach House Kilmuir Trust

Charity description

The Coach House Kilmuir Trust logo
In an increasingly frenetic and turbulent world, this charity in the Scottish Highlands seeks to provide an oasis of peace and spiritual support. We provide residential retreats and quiet space for rest and reflection for individuals from any faith or none.
Our coastal location offers a beautiful environment, where guests are welcomed for a period, ranging from a few hours to a week or more, in which to step aside from the busy-ness and noise of the world, to move from 'doing' to 'being', to discover or rediscover their own inner resources and still centre.

We offer spiritual accompaniment for those on retreat, or if preferred, a ‘listening ear’ to enable reflection on personal issues.Times of silent group meditation take place in the sanctuary twice daily to which all are welcome. We also provide full board.

Established in 1992 this centre has recently been refurbished and extended in order to provide more facilities, including an ensuite ground floor bedroom suitable for an individual with disabilities and providing a total of 7 bedrooms.
Seeking to be widely accessible, this charity keeps the charges for its services and retreats  to as low a level as possible. The practical support from a  small team of volunteers  help greatly towards  meeting  the running costs of the centre.   However we still rely on the generosity of donors across the world in order  to keep our doors open.
Please support the developing work of this charity by making a donation to us. In 2018 in particular we are appealing for funds for a garden room to provide an additional  and much needed 'one - to - one' meeting space.
