The ClementJames Centre

Charity description

The ClementJames Centre logo
Located in North Kensington we are an award-winning charity that delivers a rounded programme of educational, employment and pastoral support.

Following the tragic incident at Grenfell Tower, we have been at the forefront of supporting the relief effort for those affected. Since early on 14th June we have offered shelter, comfort, information and supplies. We have distributed over £60,000 in emergency funding to families affected by the fire in addition to food vouchers, mobile phones and other supplies.
This community has suffered the most appalling trauma. As a charity operating directly beside the affected estate and one that is working with nearly 3,000 local residents each year, it is our mission to provide ongoing support to enable this community to overcome recent challenges and move forward. We are supporting their mental health needs, providing practical and emotional support and ensuring that this extraordinary area with its wonderful sense of community and its kind, hard-working and talented people receive the care that they need.
We will be considering how we can provide that support for the years to come in consultation with those affected.
