The ClementJames Centre logo
The ClementJames Centre is an award-winning charity that empowers the community to release its potential through education and employment support in one of London’s most deprived areas.

Our vision is for everyone in our community to release their potential and live fulfilled lives. We achieve this through education, employment and wellbeing support in a safe and compassionate space.

The ClementJames Centre has been an established charity in North Kensington for over 30 years. Based in The Notting Dale ward, within 10% of the most deprived areas in England, the Centre provides tailored programmes that deliver excellent outcomes.

In the academic year 2017-18 the charity supported 1,796 children and young people and 1,162 adults from its target group:
  • Our Adult Learning programme taught over 300 students and 97% of eligible students attained external accreditation by passing their Functional Skills exams.
  • Our Children and Young People’s Education programme supported over 1,700 students. 82% of our Year 13 students secured a university place in 2017.
  • Our Employment Support programme supported over 550 clients, with 70% of those seen five times or more finding work or training.
  • Our Wellbeing and Support activities were attended by over 347 centre users. Our staff helped our clients to resolve 140 advice issues and made 44 referrals to specialist providers.
