Charity description

The Catherine Bullen Foundation logo
The Catherine Bullen Foundation operates solely in rural Namibia, southern Africa. Its aim is to relieve poverty by providing fresh water, health and educational facilities.

The charity was founded in 2002 in memory of Catherine Bullen, a fifth year medical student from Bristol University who died suddenly in Namibia, aged 22 yrs. The Foundation has so far refurbished a borehole, built a clinic, donated an ambulance and refurbished a school hostel at Otjimanangombe and building a kitchen and dining area at the hostel. It is has also improved the school hostel at Eiseb by constructing a dormitory for 40 pupils and a kitchen and dining area to cater for 300 children. Returning to Otjimanangombe school hostel, the Foundation converted a large storeroom into a dormitory and constructed girls and boys flush toilets which were completed in April 2018. It also donated 130 mattresses. Its current project is to build a multi-purpose hall to serve the school, provide a sports and recreational facility for the hostel children and a facility for the local community. Please donate to support our cause.
