Some facts about Brain Tumours
Around 8,000 people are diagnosed with Brain Tumours in the UK every year. Whilst there have undoubtedly been advances in treating patients with brain tumours, only 15 out of every 100 adults and 65 out of every 100 children diagnosed with a brain tumour will live for more than 5 years after diagnosis
There are more than 120 different Brain Tumours
More people under the age of 40yrs are diagnosed with Brain Tumours than any other cancer.
Brain Tumours kill more men under the age of 40yrs than Prostate Cancer.
Brain Tumours kill more children than Leukaemia.
Brain Tumours kill more women under the age of 35yrs than Breast Cancer.
This fund will help the Scientific & Medical professions research the causes of Brain Tumours, and find new ways to treat this devastating disease.
