The Abbeyfield Beaconsfield Society
All those involved with Bradbury House are aware that it is the Home of the residents and that they should be able to make it a ‘home from home’. We have, therefore, set out to provide them with a happy family atmosphere in spacious and well-equipped surroundings full of opportunities for an enriched life.
It is the aim of the Care team to take into account each individual’s needs, so that they can feel relaxed, comfortable and free from unnecessary worries. At the same time we want them to be as active as they are able, both physically and mentally, so that they are happy and fulfilled in their daily lives.
Bradbury House is a member of the Abbeyfield Society and is a registered charity specialising in Care for the Elderly. It set up its Supporting Care Fund in order to provide financial assistance to Residents and Day Care attendees who otherwise would be unable to make use of the Home’s facilities. The Fund is currently aimed at providing financial assistance for non- residential users of the Day Care Centre.
The Activity Centre was opened in 1994 with the objective of providing highly professional care for the Elderly with an emphasis on reducing their loneliness and isolation while encouraging their dignity and independence. The Activity Centre is available to Day Care attendees as well as the Residents. Funds raised through the Supporting Care Fund will help realize our ambition of making it possible for members of the Community who would otherwise have insufficient financial means, to make use of the Day Care facilities on a regular basis.
