St Paul's Church, Craig-y-Don, Llandudno

Charity description

St Paul's Church, Craig-y-Don, Llandudno logo
We at St Paul's Church in Craig-y-Don, Llandudno, are currently trying to raise £150,000 to restore our historic church organ.

The organ is special because it's been in use since 1910 and was built by the famous organ makers William Hill & Son.

Their nam might sound like a firm of bookies, but they were in fact the finest organ makers in Britain. They also constructed organs for Sydney Town Hall and Westminster Abbey.

Described as “tonally quite superb”, the organ here at St Paul’s has been used for divine worship and community events for over a hundred years, but now needs a complete rebuild.

To raise some of the money to do this, we're asking people to sponsor the organ pipes. There are various different sponsorship grades, and sponsors' names will be recorded on a roll of honour sealed inside the organ when the work has been done.

Click on "sponsor a pipe" on the right to find out more.

And if you'd like to see (and hear) the organ in action, join us for our Sung Communion service every Sunday at 09:45, and for a cup of tea afterwards!
