Charity description

St Margaret's At Cliffe Parish Church logo
St Margaret's Grade I listed church may be one of the earliest aisled churches of its date, and is certainly one of the most famous Norman churches in Kent, with foundations dating back to Saxon times.  It has a treasure trove of medieval graffiti in the stonework and has beautiful windows. In the south wall is a particularly evocative window commemorating three local men who lost their lives in the Herald of Free Enterprise disaster in 1987.  But it's not just about history - we serve here and now, and look forwards whilst bringing the best of the past with us.
It is home to a vibrant church community and a staunch supporter of the other three parish churches in the Benefice, and the wider community.
As the Parochial Church Council responsible for the physical and spiritual upkeep and growth of the church, we ask if you would like to play a part in our mission.  Every donation received will make a difference to the work we can do to serve the community we love.

St Margaret of Antioch is the 'mother' church of St Margaret's Benefice group of four parish churches.  We are here to reach out to, serve, connect and support everybody in the villages and the hamlets surrounding St Margaret's, here in our corner of Kent on the White Cliffs of Dover.
