Suicide is far more common than most of us think. On average there is a death to suicide every 90 minutes across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
This is why START in our 25th year of working with the people of Salford in their recovery from mental ill health are channeling our energies into a year of campaigning throughout the community with ‘Reach Out-Start to End Suicide’.
While we are actively promoting the message of investing more time in the people around you and giving them the skills, motivation and confidence to identify the warning signs, start a conversation and support anyone struggling with life, we need your help to make our efforts go even further!

You can help us reduce the numbers of family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues losing loved ones to suicide or taking their own lives. Your support is crucial to our efforts in ending suicide.

If you’re able, we’d love it if you could make a donation, for every £2 we raise it will enable us to educate and empower someone to meaningfully connect with people around them and hopefully save a life. Your donation can provide:
£10 will see 5 people learn to identify the warning signs of suicide.
£20 will see 10 people being able to start a conversation with a loved one that is in distress and contemplating suicide.
£40 will see 20 people that will be able to support family and friends and make them aware that suicide isn’t their only option.
£50 will see 25 members of our community being bale to safeguard their families, friends, neighbours’ and work colleagues from suicide.
£100 will enable 50 people to be able to save a life from suicide.

Thank you in advance for your contribution. Your donation will go toward our ultimate target of ending suicide.
