This is the donation page for the Southport RFC Guinness World Record Rugby game - Raising money to buy Ella Lang a physiotherapy vest to help her with her Cystic Fibrosis and Alder Hey Childrens Hospital.
Southport Rugby Club are attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest game of Rugby Union... No easy task as the team will be playing for over 25 hours!!!
Each team will have 23 players (8 subs) and have to follow strict Guinness and IRB rules.
The game will start on Friday 31st July at Waterloo Road Southport and promises to be great carnival weekend - with plenty of activities for children, BBQ, live music and a beer festival!
We're doing this to raise enough money to buy Ella Lang a much needed specialist physiotherapy vest.
Ella is incredibly brave and suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. CF is caused by a faulty gene that controls the movement of salt and water in and out of your cells, so the lungs and digestive system become clogged with mucus, making it hard to breathe and digest food.
There is currently no cure for CF, but treatments like this vest can help manage it.
Once we've raised enough to buy the vest, any donations will go to Alder Hey Children'sHospital.
