Charity description

Simon's Mango Tree logo
Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. We support educational and humanitarian needs in Guo, a village in North West Ghana as well as medical equipment and education in St Jospeph's hospital in Jirapa in North West Ghana.

We support Guo primary school with funds to contsruct buildings e.g. IT centre, library, kitchen and 3 classrooms and supply drinking water.

We pay the salaries of 5 teachers. Each teacher's salary is £400/yr.

We send students to university including the first girls EVER from the village to go into higher education. We need £800/yr per student.

We have equipped 2 operating theatres in St Joseph's Hospital in Jirapa and make twice yearly trips with 2 medical teams to perform operations that are too complex for the local doctors to undertake. All the trips are self funded and cost the charity nothing.

We support St Joseph's Orphanage in Jirapa. We will be supplying guttering and water tanks to collect rain water and want to buy new beds and mattresses for the children. We also need to pay for powdered milk for the babies. As the powdered milk is imported it is very expensive costing £160 per month.

Any help with our projects would be so much appreciated.

Thanks for generosity!!
