Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. Sharrow Community Forum is a community development trust, established in 1997, which works to strengthen communities in the Sharrow area of Sheffield. We work together with the local community to improve services, bring people together, build the community’s voice, make the local community a better place to live.

Sharrow Community Forum is raising money to support Highfield Adventure Playground. Highfield Adventure Playground is a popular play space adjacent Mount Pleasant Park in Sharrow, providing free activities for children of all ages including crafts, cooking and games. During the last summer holidays the playground was open 5 days a week and welcomed over 2000 visitors.

Unfortunately the playground also had a number of break-ins and vandals destroyed the outdoor toys and furniture. High numbers of visitors also means wear and tear on equipment and toys.  We will use any money raised to replace the lost items as well as purchase new toys, play sand, and provide better storage in the mezzanine area in the building. We will seek to buy good quality second hand items where possible, to ensure any funds we receive go as far as possible.

Raising £1000 will enable us to purchase some of the following items:
  • Outdoor cars and bikes
  • A bag of good quality footballs
  • Sand and water play toys
  • Indoor toys and games
  • New toy storage units
  • Play sand

We suggest  donation of £10, but any contribution would be gratefully received
