Charity description

RoadPeace logo
RoadPeace is the national charity for road crash victims and an independently funded, membership organisation.

Our work covers three main areas:

Support for road crash victims
This involves: emotional support - a national helpline, a befriending network and our Resilience Building support programmes; practical support - information guides on post crash legal procedures; and advocacy and casework - attending inquests, trials or meetings with the bereaved family.

Campaign for justice
We champion the rights of road crash victims and for the acknowledgement of the the trauma they suffer. To this end, we research and document their experiences, using the findings to inform and influence policy makers, agencies, the media and the public.

Campaign for road danger reduction
We work for real road safety to make the roads safer for everyone. Our key priority is for speed reduction – slower speeds make sense, they reduce both the likelihood of a collision and the severity of injuries.
