Quaker Social Action
Quaker Social Action is an anti-poverty charity working throughout east London and dedicated to a vision of:
'a world where people put people first.'
QSA has over 145 years of experience tackling social exclusion and poverty. We put people at the centre of what we do, developing practical and creative solutions to the problems that affect people living on a low income.
Homestore provides very affordable second hand furniture to help people in financial hardship to build their house into a home.
Down to Earth cares for terminally ill, older and bereaved people in the most financial need, helping them to arrange affordable, meaningful funerals.
Homelink prepares young homeless adults for shared private renting, and supports them to find a sustainable tenancy.
Knees Up works with a whole housing estate over a year, supporting resident-led street parties, workshops and action, to create safer, more sociable communities.
Made of Money gives low income families the skills and knowledge they need to better manage their money. It is based around our award-winning financial education course.
This Way Up is our newest project for vulnerable people. It combines mindfulness with life coaching for those who want to make something of their lives.
