June 2019 sees Ride the Nation, The PwC Charity Cycle Challenge, taking to the road again for the third iteration of the event.

The first and second events took place in 2015 and 2017 respectively.

The event aims to connect all offices in the PwC UK network by means of a cycling relay including visiting our colleagues in the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. The challenging route of circa 2,000 miles, sees the National Riders (a team of just 5) cover the entire distance in a grueling month, joined everyday by colleagues from across the country riding daily sportives or simply taking part in smaller and shorter local rides and activities.

Each year we have seen over 700 people take part on their bikes and even more be a part of the event through other fundraising activities.

The event raises money for both the PwC Foundation and charities local to each and every office, to date that is over £300,000 that has made a big difference to the communities we work within every day.

The event was conceived, and continues to be run, planned and organised solely by PwC staff, acting as a demonstration of our values as a firm and what we can achieve when we all work together.

100% of all donations received for Ride the Nation will go to the charities the event will be supporting. Those donations will be split 50/50 between each offices chosen local charity and the PwC Foundation Charities, those being: UK Youth, Samaritans, Wellbeing of Women and Beyond Food Foundation.
