Charity description

PASSAGE 2000 logo
The Passage provides resources which encourage inspire homeless people to transform their lives. We work with people who are street homeless in Central London. In year to 31 March 2017 we helped over 3,000 individuals.
We start with street outreach work. We go out every night of the year to get to know our homeless brothers and sisters and to see how we can help them best. Many people can be encouraged to return to help and support away from Central London.
By day we welcome people into our resource centre close to Victoria Station. We provide a warm welcome and practical help through showers and toilet facilities, clean clothes and food and drink as well as somewhere to be away from the street.  We provide support to enable individuals to tackle the issues they face in their journey from the street. Our health team provides mental health and substance misuse advice and counselling. we have a NHS primary care practice on site. We help people to find accommodation through hostels, assessing people for social housing and working with private landlords. Last year we helped 127 people to end their homelessness by returning to work. We also provide two hostels and resettlement support.

All of work requires a lot of support through volunteering, donations in kind and of course through financial support. Only a quarter of our funding comes through the government sources. Through your generosity you can share in our mission to help homeless people to transform their lives
