The OSCAR Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation using football and education for social change in poor communities across India. OSCAR has over 3,000 girls and boys taking part in the programme.
"Football has changed my life. My family and villagers initially pressurised me about getting married. Now they see how serious I am about pursuing my education." Nita - OSCAR Young Leader

The Organisation for Social Change, Awareness and Responsibility (OSCAR) is a not-for-profit organisation, which provides quality football coaching to underprivileged boys and girls in Mumbai and across India. OSCAR runs a unique programme, which teaches sport to children and youth, but helps them to understand the value of education. If children want to become part of OSCAR they must attend school. OSCAR works closely with parents, helping them to understand the importance of education, especially the parents of girls, who are all too often forced into illegally early marriage and child labour. A team of OSCAR Young Leaders act as role models and work to identify and tackle the barriers preventing children and youth from reaching their maximum potential. OSCAR is a youth led charity and most of the staff come from the communities which they serve. OSCAR relies on charitable donations and we would like to thank you for helping us to improve the life of the most vulnerable.
