Charity description

NYMAZ logo
With a passionate belief in the power of music to change lives, we deliver high quality music-making activities across North Yorkshire. In
parallel, we run professional networks which enable musicians and
practitioners to develop their skills and learn from one another.

We work with a diverse range of partners to deliver high-impact,
engaging and memorable music activities which make a real difference to participants. With an unrivalled track record of delivery over the past
twelve years, we are also skilled in working with funders, sponsors and donors to meet your needs and offer tangible benefits.
All donations, no matter what the amount, make a huge difference to us.
With your support we can help more children and young people to reach
their full potential through music

NYMAZ raises the aspirations of children and young people in North Yorkshire, addressing social, geographic and individual needs through
the inclusive power of music.

How your money can help:

£25 pays for a child living in a rural village to take part in a full-day world music workshop, learning about the songs, rhythms, stories and traditions of a culture very different to their own;

£50 pays for a child with profound disabilities to attend a music technology and sensory session

£100 will enable a group of disaffected young people to benefit from a DJ-ing workshop delivered by a professional musician

£500 will support a talented young music leader to develop their own initiative to pass on their musical skills to their peers

£1,000 pays for a 6-week series of song-writing workshops for teenagers, developing new composition and writing skills and increasing confidence as performers
