Charity description

Nottingham Music Service logo
We believe that music makes a difference. As a registered charity and lead partner for the Nottingham Music Education Hub, we are committed to making music more accessible and inclusive. We support young people from across the city to develop their musical skills, and participate in diverse ensembles and performances, contributing to the life of our great city.

Did you know since NMS started working, the number of children learning to play an instrument has gone from just 650 in 2002 to more than 8,000 in 2016? See our website for more achievements, case studies and testimonials.

It's the perfect time to donate! As a recipient of the Arts Council England Catalyst: Evolve grant, all donations made to us between now and 2019 will be matched. This means that your donation will be automatically DOUBLED! Donate now to have twice the impact.

What's The Impact?
Music making is linked to improvement in language development, writing & reading skills, and personal & social development.

From helping children gain confidence in their abilities to creating platforms for young people to inspire their younger peers, our ensembles, programmes and events have a lasting, positive impact on young people.

Nottingham Music Service (NMS) works on principles of access, inclusion, quality, progression and civic engagement.  Our strategies are designed to include children of all backgrounds, including those who do not have support for music making.
