Norfolk Tortoise Club
Norfolk Tortoise Club is a volunteer led registered charity with headquarters in Norfolk UK. We aim to improve tortoise welfare in captivity by offering support, advice, rescue and re-homing to tortoises in the UK (predominantly those in East Anglia).
The group was established over 15 years ago and now has a significant local and online following - with supporters all over the world! We actively encourage tortoise welfare through a wide variety of projects including talks, open days and educational events.
On the 28th September 2017 Norfolk Tortoise Club officially registered as a charity under number 1174886.
Thank you for your donations, 100% of all money raised is ploughed back into the club. Thanks to generous donations we have been able to achieve some fantastic milestones including:
- Purchasing a large ‘walk in’ fridge to hibernate all of our long-term and rehomer tortoises. This is extremely important as Autumn is one of our biggest influx periods for people wanting to rehome their tortoises via us – usually as temperatures drop and owners find they can no longer accommodate their tortoise inside.
- Paying for additional security, remote internet connection and infrastructure at our headquarters to improve the working conditions for our fantastic volunteers!
- Purchasing a large storage shed for us to keep paperwork and supplies clean, secure and in good condition.
Simply paying for our heat lamp electricity bill, vet fees and medical equipment runs into thousands of pounds every year... your donation can really help ensure that we are able to keep the the club up and running. Thank you for your support – every penny makes a huge difference!
