New Ashgate Gallery
Exhibitions are at the heart of our work and we run an all-year programme of exhibitions. We support emerging artists and makers in the county through professional, business and audience development in the market place. We deliver outreach and gallery workshops with artists for diverse audiences.
New Ashgate Gallery was established in the late 1950s. It
has been located in the centre of the Farnham Craft Town in a
seventeenth century listed building in Waggon Yard since the 1970s. During the
years, the gallery has administered the profits from craft and art sales to create prizes and scholarships, and for the purchase of artworks for museums. It was one of the first provincial galleries to show international artists as well as supporting local talent. Today, New Ashgate Gallery provides an unparalleled resource for Farnham, Surrey and beyond. The Gallery curates a programme of exhibitions and fosters emerging artists through mentoring and touring exhibitions. Moreover, the trust supports a community programme of workshops, led by artists.
We receive no regular public funding. Your donation will contribute to the creative economy. Thank you.
