NAT (National AIDS Trust)

Charity description

NAT (National AIDS Trust) logo
NAT is the UK's leading charity dedicated to transforming society's response to HIV.

We provide fresh thinking, expertise and practical resources. We champion the rights of people living with HIV and campaign for change.

Shaping attitudes. Challenging injustice. Changing lives.
Our vision is a world in which people living with HIV are treated as equal citizens with respect, dignity and justice, are diagnosed early and receive the highest standards of care, and in which everyone knows how, and is able, to protect themselves and others from HIV infection.

Why we need your support
Despite the fact that there are more people than ever living with HIV in the UK - 1 in 360 - public awareness and understanding of HIV has declined over the past 15 years, for example 1 in 5 people don’t know that HIV is passed on through sex without a condom between a man and a woman. HIV stigma and discrimination is an ongoing and distressing issue for many people living with HIV and there are constant attacks to HIV funding and support services.
