Charity description

Mast Cell Action is a new charity set up to support people suffering from a newly recognised disease called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). MCAS is a complex disease affecting the body’s immune system. It is difficult to diagnose and treat with confidence as it often presents with many unusual symptoms that confound the medical system.
Most sufferers have greatly reduced quality of life without diagnosis and treatment which, when provided, can be simple and greatly improve the symptoms. These sufferers are currently invisible to the system.Mast Cell Action has been set up to support patients, raise awareness of this disease and work with the medical community to improve diagnosis and treatment

MAST CELL ACTION is a new charity  and our only funding comes from activities undertaken by our members. Please note our 500 Legs event below. Over the last couple of years one of our trustees has twice walked the Thames in 15 days with 15 different dogs: in effect 62 legs walking for Mast Cell Action-Chris’s plus 60 canine versions!
This year Chris will be walking again, but we are extending the fundraising from his 62 legs, to target getting 500 legs walking for the cause in 2018….We are asking as many supporters as possible to organise their own sponsored walks, long or short during the month of October.  If you click on the event below you will see the different sets of legs walking ......
