Mark Benevolent Fund
The Mark Benevolent Fund is a Masonic charity dedicated to helping all poor and distressed Mark Master Masons, their wives or partners and their dependants in times of need.
The Mark Benevolent Fund also makes larger contributions to other charities and reacts quickly to emergencies around the world. Recent examples of this are a donation of £25,000 to help in Vanuatu after the devastation cyclone and £29,500 to Shelterbox to help with the relief efforts in Nepal after the earthquake.
The Mark Benevolent Fund celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2018 and as part of this £2.6 million has been pledged to the Hope for Tomorrow cancer charity. Hope for Tomorrow operated mobile chemotherapy units that travel to the patients rather than having the patient make a stressful journey to hospital which sometimes can involve a 120 mile round trip.
Charity No: 207610
