Charity description

Lucas' Legacy Childhood Brain Tumour Research logo
We're on a mission to raise awareness and funding for Childhood Brain Tumour Research, in memory of Lucas Williams, age 6. Our aim is to help find new and more effective treatments for other children affected by this devastating illness.

This is Lucas' Story.

Lucas loved watching Stoke City, riding his bike, climbing trees, playing with superheroes and dinosaurs and so many other things. Lucas was really kind, funny and clever.

Lucas had never been ill, or had a day off school, until May 2015, when he was suddenly taken poorly.

The following day Lucas was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He was chatting away, sorting out his football cards and looking perfectly well.

Despite fighting with great courage and bravery Lucas lost his battle 11 weeks and one day later, just 4 weeks before his 7th birthday.

We miss Lucas so much every day, especially his beautiful smile and all the joy he brought us.

Lucas’ Legacy is a registered charity, raising awareness and funding for research to help find new and more effective treatments for other children.

Brain tumour research, for both adults and children, receives just 0.5% of all cancer research funding, despite being responsible for more cancer deaths in children than any other type of tumour.

We hope that in future no other family has to go through what we are going through everyday.

Please support and share our fundraising.
