The Lowe Syndrome Trust is a small and voluntary charity run by a family and unpaid volunteers, but  supported by celebrities including Rod and Penny Stewart, Jonathan Ross, Melanie C and Tony Hadley.

The Charity is a listed non-commercial Partner of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).  We raise funding for Lowe Syndrome research at hospitals and universities such as Great Ormond Street, Institute of Child Heath, University College London, Moorfields Eye Hospital , Manchester University, Dundee University, The Royal Free Hospital and Imperial College London. We have also funded research in the USA including Yale University, Purdue University and University of California.

The charity also runs Lowe Syndrome Medical Symposiums bringing together doctors and researchers to present on their work and future collaborations.
