Supported by The Hyde Park Appeal, LIBERTY DRIVES is a seasonal initiative providing free tours and transportation in Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens for individuals with a disability or limited mobility (along with caregivers, friends and family) otherwise unable to enjoy a visit to the park’s 760 acres.
Our battery powered vehicles travel quietly on the vast majority of paths and roadways including those normally restricted to foot traffic alone.Tours lasting 30–50 minutes usually begin at the LIBERTY DRIVES dispatch office located at the public car park on the east side of The Serpentine lake, major park entrances, Kensington Palace and other well-known locations within the boundaries of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
Our knowledgeable volunteer drivers are happy to provide a narrated tour of points of interest in the parks. Alternatively, you may request a drive with little or no narration if you already know the parks or simply wish to enjoy the scenery during your drive. When possible we will try to customize tours to meet the needs of individuals and groups.
