About Us:
Lemon Tree Trust supports the development of urban agriculture & greening innovation for refugees & displaced people, promoting food production, well-being & community. We support people living in refugee communities with gardening initiatives as a way to restore dignity, purpose and cultural identity. Through the provision of seeds and plants, garden competitions and education centres, we work to create greener spaces and bring communities together.

Since 2015, Lemon Tree Trust has been working in Domiz refugee camp in Northern Iraq to support garden development, seed and plant distribution, community gardening and the planting of hundreds of fruit and shade trees. Since our work began, we have planted and distributed more than 11,000 trees, flowers and vegetable seedlings within Domiz and surrounding areas.

Additionally, with the construction of our new Training and Discovery garden, we have also been able to provide food baskets to vulnerable families in camp, and create 50 raised beds for a women’s community garden. Within this space, we have also constructed a small nursery in order to help with the production of seeds and seedlings, as well as two large polytunnels for productive in-ground growing.
Donate Today!
Your support will enable us to directly supply the tools and seeds necessary to start gardening in crisis-affected areas.
Lemon Tree Trust’s core infrastructure costs are covered, so 100% of every contribution goes directly to support gardening in situations of forced migration. Your donation will help fund the construction of greenhouses and garden kits or the distribution of flowers, seeds and trees.
Lemon Tree Trust is a restricted fund under the auspices of Prism the Gift Fund, registered charity 1099682
