Lady Bay Scouts

Charity description

Lady Bay Scouts logo
1st Lady Bay Scout Group is based in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. We’ve been encouraging children to learn and develop through fun activities and games for 90 years.

As a registered charity (522464), we run three sections for children from the age of six up to 14: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

We aim to see the young people in our group develop self-reliance, self-confidence, initiative, resourcefulness, moral character, team working and courage… while having fun!

Our Scout group is entirely run by volunteers with the help of parents and our community – and is funded through monthly subscriptions, fundraising activities and donations. Without the kindness and generosity of our supporters, we wouldn’t be able to give our young people the rich, fun activities they deserve.

That’s where you come in!

We are solely responsible for raising funds to pay for all our activities and equipment.

In recent years, all of our efforts have focused on raising funds and grants to build a new Scout Hall to replace our crumbling, old hut in Lady Bay. When it is completed in 2017, our new Hall will be a fantastic hub for our whole community.

But… prioritising the Scout Hall rebuild has depleted our funds for other, vital equipment for our Scouts, Cubs and Beavers.

Please help us.

We need to raise funds to ensure we can provide activities for our young people – and also to ensure our new Scout Hall has the right kit to broaden its use for our whole community.

Any donation you can make today will play a huge part in ensuring our wonderful Scout Group continues to make a positive difference to the lives of all in Lady Bay.
