Jengana is a Swahili phrase for 'building each other'. We help those living in poverty in Kenya by running a feeding programme in a slum school, feeding children on Nairobi's streets, building homes for widows/those in most need, supporting children with school fees, supporting a home for rehabilitated street boys and a home for orphaned and abandoned babies.
We also bring teams from Northern Ireland and further afield to help with our projects.
They do a lot of work in the slums of Kibera and Mukuru kwa Njenga bringing food packages to those most in need.
We are delighted that we now own 6 acres of land outside Nairobi where we hope to open a centre including a children's home, guest accommodation and a school further down the line depending on funding.
We cannot do any of this work without your help so please consider helping in any way you can, every little really does go a long way.
