Headway Place in Basingstoke is a local day centre providing long term, slow stream rehabilitation for people from across Basingstoke and North Hampshire who have sustained a brain injury
Headway Basingstoke formed as a charity in 1982 and has run a successful day therapy and rehabilitation unit for people of Basingstoke and North Hampshire since January 1986 in partnership with the NHS, for those who have suffered acquired brain injury.
In 1995, as a result of the successful HEADFIRST appeal to raise £150,000 to equip and adapt the premises specifically for Headway purposes, it moved into it's current building.
Headway has helped hundreds of people with brain injuries, and their families, to try and rebuild their lives after brain injury. Some have been able to return to work in some form or return to further education whilst others continue to attend Headway Place and learn new skills, make new friendships and attain a level of independence that they could only hope for in those traumatic days and months immediately post injury.
Once again, thank you for your support.
