HART

Charity description

HART logo
Henfield Area Response Team (HART) is a group of volunteers who respond to 999 ambulance calls in Henfield village and the surrounding parishes, and who have saved 8 lives since we were formed 10 years ago; additionally we have given aid and comfort to countless other patients and their relatives in that time.

HART is a completely voluntary organisation, and supplies all of its own equipment (average cost per responder is £2000), as well as supplying, installing and maintaining over 20 Public Access Defibrillators in the area. We run training courses for clubs, societies, small companies, and for the general public, in the use of AEDs and demonstrate good CPR (chest compressions). We rely totally on donations from the generous public of Henfield and surrounding villages who have supported us magnificently. Our First Responder Sandra Parsons, has now entered an across Scotland running, cycling and kayaking event to raise funds for HART. Please see the forthcoming events profile and support Sandra if you can.
