How the Harrow Foodbank works...
Food is donated
We receive food from schools, faith groups, businesses, individuals, or supermarket collections.
Food is sorted Our volunteers sort and store the food at our warehouse.
Frontline professionals identify people in need
Care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers, Citizens Advice Bureau staff, welfare officers, the police and probation officers, identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher.
Clients receive food
Clients bring their voucher to a foodbank centre where it can be exchanged for three days supply of emergency food.
Clients are signposted to further support
Volunteers meet clients over a cup of tea or hot meal and refer them to agencies who can help resolve any longer-term problem.
We rely on financial and food donations to provide this help to people in the borough of Harrow
Please donate to support our cause.
