Harbour Place Day Centre
vulnerable and disadvantaged adults of North East Lincolnshire (NEL). The client base includes people who are: unemployed; ex-offenders; the elderly; or
have learning disabilities; substance issues; mental health and general health problems. Many individuals who visit HP fit into a combination of these
categories and are also subject to forms of discrimination and prejudice resulting from labelling and stigmatisation in the wider community. The non-judgemental approach of HP works to combat these issues to give them a better quality of life. Our service now includes Street Outreach.
Harbour Place (HP) services include providing shelter and support for people who are homeless and vulnerable. HP aims to improve client’s quality of life by providing a range of programmes of care which include: health; hygiene facilities; clothing & bedding; benefit, financial and employment advice/support.
A key part of HP’s services include, supporting and advocating on behalf of
clients as well as signposting and referring them to a wide range of agencies.
HP has a one-to-one holistic approach of working with its clients which is often time consuming and labour intensive which does, in HP’s point of view produce the most effective long term results
