Charity description

Happisburgh Lighthouse logo
Guiding the Mariner since 1791: Happisburgh Lighthouse is an iconic landmark on the North Norfolk coast. Currently the only independently operated working lighthouse in the United Kingdom and the oldest working light in East Anglia.

Funded by voluntary contributions, Happisburgh Lighthouse is open to the public on Sundays over the summer, and private visits can also be arranged at other times.
Responsibility for operation and maintenance rests with the Happisburgh Lighthouse Trust, set up by an Act of Parliament in 1990 to take over the running of the light from Trinity House.
